Black Friday is Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. In Holly Springs the Saturday is the bigger local date: it opens Shop the Springs, the town’s two-week stamp-card promotion for downtown businesses. We do not publish prices or deals lists; store hours appear here only once a business or shopping center posts them.

Updated Nov. 3: the farmers market is on winter hours, 9 a.m. to noon; Shop the Springs details are still “coming soon” on the town’s page.

Shop the Springs: Nov. 28 to Dec. 12

Shop the Springs is organized by Holly Springs Economic Development. The town’s page gives the 2026 dates as Nov. 28 to Dec. 12 and says full details are coming. Last year, the program’s second, worked like this, according to the town’s November 2025 newsletter:

  1. Pick up or print a “HOLLY” card.
  2. Shop at downtown businesses during the event and collect a stamp at each one.
  3. Turn in the completed card at the end for a chance to win a prize pack.

The town asks shoppers to email shop@hollyspringsnc.gov with questions or a photo of a completed card.

Where to shop downtown

Downtown Holly Springs runs along Main Street, with The Block on Main at 300 S. Main St. as one of its anchor buildings. The Block lists restaurants, a creamery, a brewery, a salon, a yoga studio and a creative studio among its tenants on its about page.

The town’s Sip & Stroll Social District lets adults buy beer or wine in a marked cup from a participating business and carry it along Main Street, from just north of Earp Street to Oak Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Businesses with a “Beverages Welcome” decal let you bring the drink inside; the list is on the town’s Sip & Stroll page. More on the area in our downtown Holly Springs guide.

Store hours

Shopping centers and chain stores post holiday hours in November. When we checked on Oct. 11, none of the Holly Springs shopping centers had published 2026 Black Friday or Thanksgiving hours. We add each one here when the center or store posts them. Check the store’s own website before you go.

Holiday markets

The Holly Springs Farmers Market is one of the area’s few year-round markets, open Saturdays on winter hours, 9 a.m. to noon, from Nov. 7 through April, outside the Cultural Center, 300 W. Ballentine St., according to its market page. The market says its winter schedule has exceptions in November and December; it is closed on parade day, Saturday, Dec. 12. Craft and holiday markets run by other groups are listed here once the organizer posts the date and place. Send us yours.

Parking and traffic

  • The town publishes a downtown public parking map.
  • The Block on Main says parking is available on surrounding streets, behind the building and on the lower level of the parking deck across the street, on its home page.
  • The Holly Springs Hopper, the town’s on-demand ride service, costs $2 for up to two riders within town limits, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, the town said in its December 2025 newsletter. Riders 62 and older and riders with disabilities ride free. It runs its normal schedule on Black Friday.

Shopping safely

The Holly Springs Police Department’s holiday advice, from the town’s November 2025 newsletter:

  • Be aware of your surroundings and always lock your car.
  • Hide purchases in the trunk or under the seats before you drive to the next store.
  • Shop online only on secure sites, and treat an offer that seems too good to be true as a possible scam.

Police non-emergency: 919-557-9111.

Giving back

The police department’s Shop with a Cop pairs officers with children identified by local schools to buy holiday gifts. In 2025 it took donations of Walmart gift cards at the Law Enforcement Center through Dec. 17, according to the town’s December 2025 newsletter. The 2026 dates had not been posted.
