Juneteenth itself is June 19. The town held its 2026 celebration on the Saturday before.
What’s on
The town’s event page listed activities for all ages in 2026:
- Vendors: local artisans and food vendors. The 2026 list included NAACP Raleigh-Apex, Lutheran Services Carolina and makers such as Diaspora Creations, with food from vendors including Island Flavor, Granny’s Sweets and Frios Gourmet Pops.
- Free kids zone: inflatables and yard games.
- Stage: live music and performances.
The town had not posted vendors or performers for 2027 when we checked.
Getting there and parking
Womble Park has two entrances, and the town gives a separate address for each, according to its event page:
- From Stinson Avenue: 540 Stinson Ave.
- From Grigsby Avenue: 1201 Grigsby Ave.
Parking is in four lots off Stinson Avenue, one lot off Grigsby Avenue and the lot at the Hunt Center. The town lists no road closures or shuttle for the event.
