Feltonville is the old crossroads community at the north end of North Main Street, where it meets Sunset Lake Road and N.C. 55, which is East Williams Street on the Apex side. OpenStreetMap marks it as a named place. It is the northern edge of the North Main Street District in the town’s Land Use and Character Plan, and it sits half a mile by road from the N.C. 540 interchange. Most addresses here use ZIP code 27539 with an Apex mailing address; the Holly Springs side uses 27540.

Where it is, and which town

Feltonville is where three governments meet. We found 557 residential addresses within about a third of a mile of the crossroads. On the Census Bureau’s TIGERweb town limit maps, 316 were inside the Town of Apex, 163 inside the Town of Holly Springs and 78 in unincorporated Wake County. The Holly Springs part includes Crittenden Lane and Commons Drive. Reunion Plaza Road, Ridge Lake Drive and Sunshine Crest Court are inside Apex. A Holly Springs mailing address does not settle the question: 2305 N. Main St. has one but sat outside both towns.

The town you live in sets your property tax and who runs your police, fire and trash service. For 2026 Wake County charges 53.71 cents per $100 of value everywhere. Holly Springs adds 34.35 cents and Apex adds 37.35 cents. Homes outside both towns pay the county rate plus a 12.25-cent fire district tax, according to the county’s table of tax rates. Schools

Feltonville is in the Wake County Public School System, whichever town an address is in. All eight addresses we checked in the district’s base school lookup for 2026-27 were zoned for Felton Grove High. Seven, on Sunshine Crest Court, Crittenden Lane, East Williams Street, Ridge Lake Drive, North Main Street, Bakers Alley and Reunion Plaza Road, were zoned for Woods Creek Elementary and Lufkin Road Middle, both on year-round calendars. One on Commons Drive was zoned for Holly Springs Elementary and Holly Ridge Middle.

OpenStreetMap lists a Food Lion at 517 N. Main St. in the Oak Hall Shopping Center, about 1.6 miles south, and the Holly Springs Towne Center to the southwest. A Walmart Supercenter is at 3151 Apex Peakway in Apex, to the north.
