Where it is

North Main Street runs north from Holly Springs Road. The N.C. 55 Bypass runs parallel to the west, and Sunset Lake Road marks the plan’s northern edge. The plan wants new streets on “small blocks” that “extend a grid network in both directions of N. Main Street,” with buildings of one to three stories that “may include residential or office space above storefronts.” It asks for buildings “compatible with nearby residential neighborhoods” and encourages non-franchise architecture. Most homes sit in neighborhoods set back on both sides of the street.

Town or county? We found 966 residential addresses within about half a mile of North Main Street’s 1300 block. All but two were inside town limits on the Census Bureau’s TIGERweb map. See our property tax guide.
