The town’s calendar listing says the ceremony honors “those who served our country” and begins at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial in Veterans Park, 600 Bikram Drive. It is free, and snacks will be available. The town had not posted speakers or a program when we checked.

Veterans Park is dedicated to people who have served in the military. Besides the Veterans Memorial it has a War on Terror Memorial, an American Liberty Elm, a playground, an accessible fishing pier, a picnic shelter and a half-mile paved greenway to Sunset Lake Road and Jones Park, according to the park page.
