Nightingale calls itself a celebration of Holly Springs, “perched high above town,” with seasonal dishes, crafted cocktails and a curated list of spirits and wines on its about page. Vieni Ristobar serves homestyle Italian food with handmade pasta and house-made sauces, with a bar and indoor and outdoor seating, its website says. Mamma Mia is the Holly Springs location of an Apex family-owned Italian bistro on The Block on Main.

Pimiento Tea Room serves suppers from 4 p.m. until close, Tuesday to Saturday, from a menu that changes, and runs special dinners listed on its happenings page: a monthly seven-course Supper Club with wine pairings whose net proceeds go to CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, and occasional pairing dinners.

Music with dinner

Pimiento Tea Room has live jazz in its lounge on Saturday nights, 6 to 9 p.m., with the performers listed on its After Dark page. The lounge suits parties of two or four, and a reservation does not guarantee a lounge seat; add a note asking for it.

Niche Wine Lounge, 109 N. Main St., has live music on Friday and Saturday nights and is open 5 p.m. to midnight every day, according to its website. 919-552-2300.

A show

The town-run Holly Springs Cultural Center, 300 W. Ballentine St., has a 184-seat theater with community theater from the Southern Wake Players, the Clean Comedy Series, the Press Play Music Series and community band and jazz orchestra concerts. Its snack bar is open during performances, and accessible seating and assisted listening devices are available through the box office, according to the town’s performances page. After dinner

  • Walk with a drink: the Sip & Stroll Social District allows beer or wine in a marked cup along Main Street from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
  • Dessert: JT’s Creamery makes its ice cream in-house and has a Holly Springs shop at 300 S. Main St., Suite 112, according to its website.
  • Late: Niche Wine Lounge and My Way Tavern, 301 W. Center St., both list closing at midnight.
  • Taproom: Local Time Brewing on The Block on Main is open until 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Parking and getting home

The town publishes a downtown parking map. The Block on Main says there is parking behind the building and on the lower level of the deck across the street. Plan a ride home if you are drinking; the town’s Hopper runs only until 8 p.m. on weekdays.
