Who to call

What the Festival of Legends is

Expect magicians, musicians, acrobats, comedians, crafters, armored sword fighting and costumed characters, along with a food court and a pub. Food choices are listed on the festival’s artists, food and drink page.

The festival is at Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park, 2401 Grigsby Ave. Parking crews direct cars on site. The festival asks that nobody tailgate or hold gatherings in the parking lot, according to its FAQ. Patron camping is not offered.

Rules and what to know

From the festival’s FAQ:

  • Pets: please leave them home. Registered service animals are welcome and should be clearly marked. The Sugg Farm dog park stays open that weekend.
  • Food and drink: only water may be brought in. Guests with allergies or dietary needs may bring snacks that work for them if nothing on the menu does.
  • Costumes: optional. Whatever you wear should be fit for public view.
  • Weapons: no firearms. Props and blades must be peace-tied so they cannot be drawn, and the festival prefers no sharpened steel.
  • Tents and chairs: you cannot set up your own tent or claim a site; shaded pavilions with chairs are open to everyone.
  • Accessibility: the grounds are natural grass and mostly flat, with wheelchair-accessible toilets at each restroom area.
  • Weather: rain or shine. In severe weather some attractions may close, posted on Facebook.

Vendor applications for 2027 are open on the festival’s website; volunteer applications open in January 2027, according to the FAQ.
